Recipients are nominated by their CAUT member association. Nominations can be made at any time, using this form.

Background

CAUT Council created the Academic Freedom Award to recognize individuals for significant efforts to promote and defend academic freedom in their universities or colleges.

Recipients

Recipients of the award will receive a certificate of recognition from CAUT, which will be provided to the association for presentation to the recipient by the association at an association meeting. They will also have their name listed in the CAUT Bulletin, put on the CAUT web site and announced at the next CAUT Council meeting.
