Modern technologies, threats posed by casualization and de-professionalization, rising anti-intellectual sentiments, and a global pandemic are transforming the status and working conditions of librarians and archivists. How can librarians and archivists resist the erosion of academic values and academic freedom?

Join us at the 2022 CAUT Librarians’ and Archivists’ Conference to learn how colleagues have successfully organized to defend the profession, uphold academic values, and build solidarity.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format to allow participants to attend in person or online. Due to technical limitations in organizing a hybrid format, some breakout sessions will not be available for online participants.

IN PERSON ATTENDANCE:

• Member of CAUT Affiliated Association ($400.00 + $52.00 HST)
• Contract Academic Staff ($200.00 + $26.00 HST)
• Non-affiliated ($600.00 + $78.00 HST)
• Student / Retired ($150.00 + $19.50 HST)

ONLINE PARTICIPATION:

• Member of CAUT Affiliated Association ($200.00 + $26.00 HST)
• Contract Academic Staff ($100.00 + $13.00 HST)
• Non-affiliated ($300.00 + $39.00 HST)
• Student / Retired ($75.00 + $9.75 HST)

* In person registration fees include: Continental Breakfasts, Lunches and Reception.

Hotel Accommodation

Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations directly with the Ottawa Marriott Hotel. It is imperative that reservations be made no later than the September 15th cut-off date. Hotel reservations can be made online by clicking on the image below or by contacting the Ottawa Marriott hotel 100 Kent Street at 613-238-1122 or 1-888-236-2427. Mention the  Librarians’ and Archivists’ Conference to obtain the negotiated rate of $155.00/night (traditional guest room).

CAUT is closely monitoring and following all recommended public health protocols in the planning and organization of the conference.

While masks are not mandatory at the current time, we are recommending masks be worn by those attending in-person. Rapid-test kits, masks, shields, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available on site.
